L’estetica, in odontoiatria, è un gioco di equilibri tra denti, gengive, tessuti molli, labbra, viso e personalità. Per produrre manufatti estetici che si avvicinino il più possible alla natura e risultino veramente attraenti, non falsi e tutti identici a se stessi (sorrisi stereotipati) dobbiamo sviluppare doti artistiche che possono essere incrementate solo con una buona conoscenza e la comprensione della psicologia della percezione visiva Molti di noi, dentisti ed odontotecnici riusciamo ad ottenere ottimi risultati quando i nostri manufatti vengono valutati solo nella zona orale, ma spesso quando questi vengono inseriti nel viso dei pazienti il risultato è ben lontano dall’essere naturale attraente e credibile.

Aesthetics in dentistry is a balance between the teeth, the soft tissues, the lips. the face and individual personality. In order to produce aes- thetic results that are natural and attractive, we need to develop our artistic capability so that we can all improve our comprehension of the psy- chology of perception. Many of us, Dentist and Dental Technician alike, are very good with biological and aesthetic re- sults when our work is analysed solely in the oral region. However when we evaluate the all face, the results may be far from natural and attractive in many cases
Obbiettivi del corso Balance:
I corsisti acquisiranno le conoscenze per sviluppare le capacità artistiche necessarie ad imparare a vedere nell’insieme e nella globalità senza fermarsi solo ai dettagli. Ogni partecipante svilupperà doti per capire la psicologia della percezione e trasferire queste informazioni nella pratica quotidiana. acquisendo la capacità di valutare l’equilibrio della composizione dei denti frontali nel contesto del viso. Questo sarà utile a comprendere cosa, in un sorriso e in un viso, è in armonia e cosa invece è in tensione correggendo solo il necessario senza stravolgere l’espressività del paziente. Queste creatività verrà utile non solo a livello lavorativo ma anche a livello privato usando nuovi processi di pensiero ed il cervello nella sua interezza.
Learning Objectives:
Delegates will learn to develop their artistic capability to evaluate the tension and the balance between the teeth and the patient’s overall facial appearance. The aim is to enable delegates to visualise the whole face rather than just the teeth. Delegates will gain the knowledge to under-stand psychology of perception to their daily practice to achieve aesthetic harmony, relieving tension between the smile and face. Delegates will gain the ability to see what is harmonious and what in tension. This allow a better un-derstanding of patient’s needs and this in turn will allow minor, subtle changes to made that make a big difference. This creativity will helpful not only on a work-ing level but even on the private one using new thinking process and the brain in its fully integrity
